The benefit of using these props to your workout is the effect they have on your muscles. The best example for this is if you're deadlifting, but you need to strengthen your lower back. If you're doing more than three sets you might be getting a bit of a hamstring fatigue from this exercise. To counteract this you can always just add additional weight to the bar during the set. I've never trained a leg drive bench to an elite level. It doesn't look like I have, but there were a few other guys who did them fairly often throughout the years.
